Upcycled Vintage Embroidery

Over the last year I have acquired mountains of vintage, hand embroidered linens. A small number have come from charity shops & jumble sales, but the main bulk have been passed on to me by relatives knowing my love of vintage needlework. So I have piles of hand embroidered handkerchiefs, table cloths, and dressing table coasters. I can't possibly use all of them around our house without it looking like we've moved into a retirement village so I'm starting to upcycle them into one-off gifts for friends. Here are my first attempts - two cushion covers for the birthday of my friend Mrs Flint (minus the inserts as I wanted to send them through the post!).
