New Shirt for Old

Mr Biddle has been eyeing up red gingham vintage shirts over the last couple of months, and I found this one for £2 on a stall in Lancaster.

The material was so soft but unfortunately it was utterly ginormous and far too big for Mr B. So yesterday I decided to turn it into a little blouse for myself.

I took the pattern from a much beloved blouse of mine which once belonged to my Great Grandmother. I also reused the pocket and button hole strip from the original shirt. Here's how it turned out ...

By no means perfect, but I think it'll look cute over a white vest and jeans for nursing when Baby Biddle arrives.
